Scientists studied the asteroid Ryugu and found that it has water on it! 🌊 This is exciting because they used to think that water on asteroids couldn't last very long. It turns out that water could stay there for billions of years! This might help us understand how Earth got its oceans. For example, if asteroids were like sponges that hold water, they could have given some of that water to Earth when they bumped into it.
Now scientists believe that ancient asteroids might have been full of water and could have influenced how our planet became what it is today. It's like old ice cubes in the freezer melting and turning into water that then goes into our glass! 🥤
❓ Do you think there is water on other planets?
