How algae protect themselves from sunlight. 🌞
Under the sea, green algae have learned to protect themselves from too much sunlight! They have a special pigment called siphonein. This pigment acts like sunglasses for algae, helping them not to overheat or burn. Imagine playing outside on a hot day without a hat; it would be too hot, right?
